Responsibilities:
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse group of private companies and individuals.
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Participate in client engagements by identifying and addressing business and tax issues, conducting research and analysis, and developing recommendations and tax planning strategies, under the guidance of supervisors and managers.
- Complete assigned engagement work within budgeted time and scheduled deadlines.
- Communicate progress, questions, and potential issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Develop client relationships by understanding client needs, business operations, and individual circumstances and providing responsive, practical solutions.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to support the quality and development of their work.
Requirements:
- BS/BA in Accounting or a similar undergraduate degree; Master’s in Tax preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a public accounting firm preferred
- CPA preferred; if not a CPA, must meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam as outlined by the Board of Accountancy
- Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts
- Solid understanding of tax principles and concepts, tax law, and tax research
- Excellent time management, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills

- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
