Responsibilities:

  • Assist with providing tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse group of private companies and individuals.
  • Prepare complex federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Assist with tax planning and tax research projects, identifying and addressing business and tax issues through research and analysis, under the guidance of senior staff and managers.
  • Complete assigned engagement work within budgeted time and scheduled deadlines.
  • Communicate progress, questions, and potential issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop an understanding of client needs and circumstances while providing support on routine tax and accounting matters.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in accounting or similar undergraduate degree
  • 0-2 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts
  • Working knowledge of tax principles and concepts, tax law, and tax research
  • Excellent time management, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Work style that promotes positive relationships and collaboration opportunities
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
