Part-Time Bookkeeper-Accounting Services

SALARY: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

We are Vine Dahlen, a CPA firm based in Lynnwood. We have been providing audit, accounting, tax, and consulting services to closely held companies and not-for-profit clients in the Pacific Northwest and across the U.S. for over 50 years and are a leader in our community. We started as a small one-person firm in 1964 by Ann Vine, who was one of the first female public accountants in Washington State. When she was joined by Ron Dahlen in the early 1970s, Vine Dahlen was born. We remain a diverse group of enterprising professionals today.

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This position will report to the Manager and Managing Member and will work collaboratively with all professional and administrative personnel throughout the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Review client bookkeeping policies and procedures
  • Resolve entries, establish accounts, and assist with maintaining financial records
  • Prepare trial balances for the accounting department
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Reconcile accounts, bank statements, credit cards, and payroll liabilities
  • Prepare payroll and related Federal and State tax returns
  • Perform Personal Property Affidavit calculations
  • Prepare auto benefits calculations
  • Assist with tax preparations during tax season—prepare Forms 1099, review fixed assets, and prepare excise tax returns
  • Complete clean-up projects as assigned
  • Additional bookkeeping duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or similar preferred
  • Experienced with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • QuickBooks Pro Advisor Certification preferred
  • EA or CPA certified, or currently pursuing certification
  • 2+ years of previous bookkeeping experience
  • Familiarity with WA State payroll and excise tax regulations
  • Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work in a high volume, fast paced, and deadline-driven environment
  • Manage multiple projects while balancing, prioritizing, planning, and organizing projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
